Spider (2022)

(Warning this movie has distressing themes and nudity in it so be cautious before watching this. I warned you)
This movie has some strange components to it as it starts off with this black lady named Roshanda going through a situation where she is looking for a guy, in which she finds love but can’t get it because Trevor isn’t interested)she decides to get all of her friends involved. She is in love with this guy who she is determined to get, but after she is doing well with him also gets involved with friends and tries to cast a spell on him, and then she sacrifices half of her whole engagement with them(not romantically).
This show is a robust cheap horror film, as she turns into a murderer at the end, all due to some ridiculous love spell that put them all in danger, as different characters don’t last in the movie as they move on from Roshanda and Trevor. There are multiple scenes where she seduced guys, and then they went missing, and she was oblivious of it all.
Questions and Thoughts of the Movie Spider:
Why was the setting and plot always changing? Like, not even a normal person would understand plot. Also, why did they go missing, she set dead guys up 100% in my theory.
Why didn’t she know the consequences of the spell? As well as, what was the whole point of trying to seduce him if he’s just going to die, I recall in the movie him having sex with someone else who isn’t her. Wouldn’t that defeat the whole point of a spell? Also, what was the point of putting him through all that if Roshanda’s just going to lose him to someone else? That brings my theory that the spell was useless because she battled Trevors’ spirituality (in a way and he won),Roshanda never got what she wanted because he cheated. . Has me facepalming myself like what was the point of all that? So the spell is useless all of a sudden? Like come on. Getting prepared to lose, apparently.
Spider wasn’t really a horror movie, more of a soft-core porn movie in which people fall in love and their fate goes into her hands because she messes with spells. Actions, as in, if you were to put a love spell on someone you have to know the consequences and not have them all killed or seduced. In the end, Trevor is with the girl he wanted. But then the scene switches, and a random boogieman (who was a girl) with a mask killed them.
So all that for them to die?
This was an interesting movie, but has a lot of faults and looks like they worked hard on a confusing narrative that was unnecessary. It was like a romance horror sort of, as it has distressing themes.
Solid 2.5 stars they could do better people who are watching this are going to be lost, so adding a better plot would make people understand it more. Decent, but the studio that made this can do better.
Edit:One last thing Roshanda just disappears from the plot halfway through the movie, she was a irrelevant character to begin with.
